Title: Think I fried my jamma board
Post by: swamprat96 on March 06, 2009, 08:00:21 pm

OK My fault. The jamma plug on this cab has no locating pin in it. I think I inadvertently put +5vdc onto the ground pin or even maybe +12vdc onto the -5vdc!

No burning or bang but no boot now either- and it did before

Any obvious thing to check? Its a lethal enforcer konami jamma board. I'm going to do a conversion anyway but I still feel pretty stupid

You may have permanently fried it either by burning and cracking some small tracks or toasting one or more of the rom chips.

Yup, done that before....

After doing that one time I always remember now that the power side of the harness always goes to the short section of the JAMMA edge connection on the board.
I don't even bother looking for a label or key anymore, I just want to know where the power side is.

What game was it ?
