Title: Mala problem - need help solving it!

I have an annoying problem with Mala... basically I have it set up to run the last game I played before shutting down on booting up. Trouble is, once I leave this game to go back to the frontend the arcade sticks and buttons won't work without me pressing the mouse first. To me this sounds as though the window isn't at the front and by clicking the screen it makes Mala active and therefore controllable by the sticks and buttons...

It's not very seemless - please could someone suggest something to solve this problem as it is driving me nuts - it ruins the overall experience and also makes it hugely inconvenient as I have to pull the drawer out just to click the bloody mouse! :angry:
