Has anyone Fit a 27" arcade monitor into a Midway 90's cab? Like NFL blitz, MK, KI2 that is set up for a 25"? I did some quick measurements and the height and with seem possible if i move the 4 square monitor mount brackets and the bezel side supports but the depth looks a little short in my cab for a 27". I have a 24.8 mounted in the cab with a little over an inch of space between my rear monitor frame and the back of the cab. If anyone has modified there cab to make this work I would be very interested to see how you did it. Thanks.
Thought I found someone who has on this forum but I cant seem to find it again??? :dunno

My MK2 cab has a 27" KT-2914F (the "Betson Multisync") in it. Fits just peachy with replacement "bracket boxes". I had to tilt it slightly when installing to get the frame of the monitor to pass by the supports for the front glass, but it fits fine once past those.
I didn't modify the cabinet any (no new holes or anything). Rather than move the existing brackets (the "boxes" made of folded sheet metal), I constructed new ones that put things in the right place for the 27".

How hard was it to make the new boxes? Do you know where I can buy monitor frames new in the box? I am interested in all the different sizes / setups.

I just put a 27" Wells Gardner D9200 in my Midway Mortal Kombat II cabinet.

It is a little tight going in past the front glass supports, just angle it a little and it is fine. The depth is fine as well. I didn't move my monitor brackets either, I didn't want any new holes. I did modify the existing monitor brackets that were for a 25" monitor. I created a template for my D9200 monitor. Then I sawed off the posts for the 25" monitor giving me a smooth surface to work on. I used the template to figure out where new holes needed to be drilled and also the little bit of bracket that needed trimming to allow for the larger monitor.
All in all a very easy modification and no need for fabricating anything new. I have some pictures of the process in the projects thread. If you have any questions please let me know.

For the frame my monitor had, the existing brackets would have needed so much "trimming" that I felt it might compromise the structure of them, and the last thing you want is your giant 27" monitor to come crashing down inside the cabinet. For other frames, you may not have had to trim as much, I don't know. It wasn't that hard to make the new ones once me and a friend figured out "the tricks" to getting them nice.
As a bonus, I still have the old ones ready to go for a 25" in case I ever want to swap monitors around. It's actually come up as an idea a couple times.

Thanks Cmoses that was the tread i couldnt find. Also thanks Motha. Im taking back this billabs (BL25C90t) 24.8 to Betson west I couldnt get it to run right with my PC. Not much out for mame and a 25" Monitor so Im Going with the 27" The depth was my main concern. Bigger is better anyways! =) You guys rock as always!!! Thanks. :cheers:

I put one in a 25" Dynamo. I never followed up on the thread, but I set the monitor back a bit to clear the bezel.
It was a tight fit!

Well I traded the 24.8 billabs for this 27" kortek kt2914df. Its mounted. Upgrade was pretty easy. I too just took a little bit off the top square brackets. Used the same holes too. Thanks.

They must have changed the mounting frame from my older KT-2914F. My holes did not line up at all with the 25" mounts, and I would have had to remove almost 1/4 of the "box" to make the rails fit in the opening.
