Title: Automatic switching of JAMMA boards.
Post by: Brax on June 27, 2003, 07:01:42 am
Once in a while someone asks about automatically switching JAMMA boards without doing the wire swap. Here it is! It can swap up to 8 boards at the touch of a button. It's 125 bucks but don't think that's too bad considering what it can do. I wonder if it would switch a JPAC as well? Mame and 7 of your favorite unsupported JAMMA boards! *drool*

Each game has to have its own "switch board, though" and those are an additional $25. It comes with 2 free but you may buy up to 6 more. That's another $150! My brother was looking into these to make an all-in-one Mortal Kombat machine (all ther MK's together) but the multijamma was too expensive.

So it sounds like $125 when it can really be $275.

In a nutshell, you give it a 'hint'. ;-)  Basically you load the
switchboards starting at one end of the switcher-- there's then a jumper
that tells it how many games total there are (2-8) and the controller will
only cycle through that many games.

The jpac does work with the MultiJAMMA BTW...  I've had a few people use
them with good results so far.

So you spend another $275!! How much have you spent already? Imagine being able to play some of the modern kick ass games on your cabinet that aren't emulated or may never be......

Hrm, it's a shame I don't think I can wire up all the controls I want using JAMMA. (one down side to a rotating control panel :)
