So I bought the bezel from happ, but unfortunately I made my measurements too big for it. So now I have been reading on people who paint their glass black. Has anyone had success with this? If so what kind of paint and what do you use to mark out the monitor area, so you don't paint over it?
Any suggestions/links would be awesome! Trying to cover up a tiny gap with this,
Thanks!

Flat black worked for me. I used some blue painter's tape and measured from center to fit the viewable (minus a little bit). I covered the rest with computer paper, no problems. I suggest quite a few thin coats though.
I do have to go back and recoat a little as some light passes through. It wouldn't be noticeable to most, but I'll see it every time now.

Thanks! That's kinda what I was wondering. What paint do you use for the MDF?

I used a primer, then (I think) a satin finish oil based black for mine. I wanted a slight sheen but not glossy. Also, that was all I had laying around. I went very very cheaply on this project.
