I am thinking about buying a Star Wars upright, and was wondering if anyone could tell me what I might expect to see for repair costs given what I know about its condition. From what I know in talking to the guy, it has a Wells Gardner monitor and "plays blind" but with no picture. He said it had a small picture that looked like the whole image squished into about a quarter of the screen, but now there is no image.
I know it is not much to go on, but does anyone know what might I be looking at to fix it? Like best case and worst case scenarios? Also, does it affect the overall value of the machine to have a Wells Garnder monitor? In other words, should I expect to pay a bit less?
Thanks in advance.

No idea of cost at the low end but worst case of course would involve the purchase of working monitor.
Here is a description of the type of work that might have to be done to get an old SW monitor working again.
There have also been some good info on SW restoration in the forum.
