Is there a new version of the NoaC? I heard the original was functional but hardly accurate.

Whoah! Did they come out with SNoaC and SoaC's too??

NoaC stands for "Nintendo on a Chip." It's what most of these NES clones use as their core for emulating the NES. For the most part they work, but the chips don't function with 100% accuracy. Colors are sometimes rendered incorrectly, sounds are off, etc. The chips are typically used in off-Asian imports such as the one BenHeck (http://benheck.com/Games/Nintendo_projects/NESp/NESp%20page%201.htm) destroyed to make a portable NES. Also the suspected chip Link1 (http://www.vintagecomputing.com/index.php/archives/6), Link 2 (http://boards.ign.com/classic_nintendo_board/b5140/103995680/r109814749/), used by the NEX (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NEX) System.

SNoaC and SoaC are just possible names for Super Nintendo on a Chip and Sega on a Chip (though it should be GoaC :P )

I own multiple of each of the older systems (I owned them, then my GF moved in and brought another) so I haven't played around with these OAC types. I've heard good and bad things. When they work correctly its great but as was said above, not 100% accurate. The last option (the 3 in 1) is appealing simply because if it works its covering 3 systems. As for the others, I'd rather just buy an original that I know will work 100% of the time.

It's easy enough. Let's see if the forum understands proper code tags.

Code: [Select]
short description goes here
Voila!

Those are great for some games... but games that require hardware level timing just don't play right.  Stuff that is really really timing dependent like Punchout become 10x harder if you can finish them at all.

This is an example what to type to make a link.

Code: [Select]
short description goes here
Voila!

You just start by typing a bracket thingy " [ "

Then type the letters "u r l" and so on. Where the "http:" begins is where you paste the site you are linking to. Then you close with the other bracket thingy " ] " Type the description you want and finalize with ". I'm sure you can figure it out with some practice.
