Title: Marvel VS Capcom 2 and Playstation 3
Post by: Jawknee7o7 on March 01, 2009, 03:34:35 am
In the beginning of the month I got a 34" showcase cabinet that had Marvel VS Capcom 2 on the Naoki System i think it is.  i dont know too much about wiring and thought i could turn this way for imformaton.  In other words i am a noob at this.  basically what i want to do is hook up my Playstation 3 up to my cabinet so i can play my PS3 on the cabinet so i can play SSF2THDR and eventually SF4 when i get it.  is there any easy why and how would i go about doing this.  Thanks for your help in advance.

A Jamma Finger Board is where to start if its a Jamma Cab.  I am not sure if its all plug & play with the PS3.  You may want to ask a mod to move this to another section as even though you want to add a console this is more of a general cab question.

MVC2 is the Naomi system, which is not JAMMA.

Shouldn't there be a way to get the video from the PS3 to go directly to the monitor? In a showcase it might even have inputs right?

I'm just thinking out loud...err typing...whatever.

Admittedly i have never put together a cabinet but i am planning one for my ps2 and I think Ultimarc makes what you need http://www.ultimarc.com/psx.html (http://www.ultimarc.com/psx.html). You can probably ask Andy about this, he was super helpful for me (andy@ultimarc.com or he is on the forums somewhere).
