My multimeter is currently on loan and I don't want to take the yoke apart (plus I don't have a torx security driver set)... can someone clue me in to which wires do what ?
I can of course easily trade the horizontal pot wires =P
Thanks!
Rampy

1UP's diagram on http://www.1uparcade.com/project-swyoke.html matches the wire colors on my yoke, www.oscarcontrols.com/swyoke.
If you need something specific, let me know and I can take a few more pics.

Blah, I've still got the original molex one... you wouln't happen to have the original molex and be able to give me a pin out that way, eh? I've isolated the what I *think* are the x and y axis...
ACtually I think I've got it now... but if you happen to be able to match pin out from the molex that's great..if not I've got it under control... I was just intimidated that all the wires were red white and black... so at first I was having trouble differentiating...
=P

Hey Rampy,
How about posting the pinout when you get it figgered? Might come in useful for other folks.

Sorry, the original plug is long gone on mine... I looked through the service manual, but no luck there with the pinout. Like 1UP said, if you have it figured out, post back with the info. I should have done that before I tossed mine. Hindsight... ;)

I'll certainly document it when I get a chance (no really).
I ended up lopping off the plug as it's a non standard molex and a regular 12 pin male or female wasn't going to mate properly with it =P (even tried a barry white cd)
I jotted down the colors and what I thought each pin did, but since I was sans multimeter it;ll be an incomplete diagram as I didn't care so much about which trigger/thumb was which.
1up/oscar --> when you use your dual strike hack, do you install the software from the CD or do you just let it autodetect and use "xp" type drivers? If you use the dual strike software do you configure it to look like a mouse or just regular analog joystick style?
*shrug*

The dual strike software works (pretty much) in XP, and is necessary to get the button remapping and the mouse emulation. You'll need to remap the buttons for Mame. Also, most games are playable using the joystick mode, but it never hurts to have mouse mode available in those rare instances...
