Title: Need some advice with a Med Res Monitor

I'm trying to build a MAME.  I recently bought a Blitz 99 cabinet and thought all arcade monitors were the same.    Now I have a med resolution monitor, K7500, and I'm looking for some advice.  I have an AVGA, but I haven't gotten it to work.  I've read it doesn't work with med resolution (even though there is a 25kHz jumper), true?  Should I replace the monitor with a standard one?  Is Soft-15 a viable option?
