Title: WoW Switching Power Supply
Post by: SithMaster on February 23, 2009, 09:48:03 pm
I was thinking of getting the Arcadeshop conversion kit seen here

and would like to know if the power supply board is still required or if this is replacing both the linear supply and the pcb (A082-90411-A000).  Thanks.

I bought that for my Gorf which is pretty much the same as WoW I think. Anyways, it would play a blank screen sometimes because the reset line is not correct(I think Arcadeshop ties it to +5V line)
So I rebuilt my linear with a Bob Roberts kit and have had success for a while now. That adapter is in a box of parts now.

I was hoping to avoid using a linear since I would need to build one from scratch.  I looked over the parts the manual listed and came up with this list.  I am missing any part?  I have yet to see a picture on this forum of someone using the fish paper so is that something considered unnecessary?

power transformer 120/240v
transformer (listed only as part no. MT00 00092 0000 so I'm unsure what rating is required)
115v convenience outlet assy
5 position fuse clip assy
fuse 1a 250v
fuse 1.5a 250v SL0 BL0
fuse 3a 250v SL0 BL0 2 needed
fuse 2a 250v SL0 BL0
fishpaper shield
1 position fuse clip assy
fuse 2a 250v SL0 BL0
noise filter
