Opinions and criticism welcome. My first shot at a skin using the layout designer.
Edit: Okay, this is the modified version...took some advice offered below and fixed a few things...much better IMO

Wow, that looks really good. I paticularly like the LOTR ring. The light blue squares look a little funny, but it's not too distracting.
Nice work.

Yeah it's cool but the window positions are allways the same! :P

I would say because it's the easiest and most natural way to read/view anything of this nature if english is your primary language (read left to right, top to bottom).
The list won't wrap, so you have to maintain your game list vertically...that leaves left or right side of the screen. If you center it, you won't have room for snap shots.
Just my $.02 on the same layout issue. ;D :P
Come to think of it though...I may switch the game information and the snapshot images so that more of the ring is visable behind the transparent game info...the snaps won't hide so much of the background if I swap them...
Thanks for making me think :D

You're welcome! :))

Okay, the latest version is now in the first post.
Moved the shapshot down and changed the borders up a little.

All of my mame screenshots are in png format and have a white border around them. I noticed that your screenshots dont have the annoying border. How did you eliminate the border or did your screen never have it? I got my screens from http://www.classicgaming.com/mame32qa/ (http://www.classicgaming.com/mame32qa/). Is there a better place to get them?
Thanks in advance

I captured them live during games...saves them as bmp or jpg formats.
Just used the ? option in mamewah to pick the correct file to match the rom name.
-
maybe it's my moniter, but are those triangles at the top-right of the boxes blue? i would make 'em yellow if i were you, to match the rest of the boxe outline
-
Nope, they're the exact same yellow as the boxes...might want to check your monitor :P ;)

Try http://crashtest.retrogames.com/ (http://crashtest.retrogames.com/) for screenshots without the white borders.
