Title: MP3s and MAMEwah question
Post by: arcadecab on June 26, 2003, 07:28:33 am
I have the MP3 option to run during browsing going very nicely and really like the option.  I tried a few mp3 downloads and they worked great.  However, I just tried another download mp3 file, and this particular song doesnt work with MAMEwah.  The only difference I can see is that this new song didnt use underscores in the titles like the couple others that I tried first.  I tried changing the title to underscores, but that didnt work.  When I play the song with my regular computer mp3 player (music player jukebox 7.5), it works just fine.  Would there be any reason MAMEwah wouldnt recognize a particular mp3 file?  Is there a format issue?  Something I should do different?
Thanks for any help or suggestions.

my guess would be perhaps it IS a format issue... maybe mamewah has a problem with the bitrate of that particular file, is it an unusual bitrate... perhaps it's VBR (variable bitrate) and Mamewah doesn't like that? course, I'm no Minwah, so I'm just guessing ;) worth a look though, I've known some (harware) mp3 players to have issues with non "standard" bitrates and VBR's.
