Well after seeing the upcoming Hyperpin (front end for dedicated Digital Pinball cabs) made by BBB at Hyperspin (http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/) , I know that I will eventually be getting a digital pinball cabinet!
If you havent seen Hyperpin yet you REALLY need to check it out: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2255 (http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/forum/showthread.php?t=2255)
The thing is I am not a carpenter and getting an old gutted out real pinball which fits modern HDTVs is unlikely soooooo....
It would be great if Mameroom.com made digital Pinball kits!
My mame cab is from them and I love it, and if anyone else woul like them to make pinball dedicated kits let them know the interest is there so it would be more likely for them to supply/design them.
Shoot them an email or give them a call:

If they made one I would definately order one!
Who else would get one from them?

Sounds like a good idea although the price is my concern especially the cost to import to Australia. Probably not something I could make use of.
As for gutting an old pinball, maybe not such a bad idea really. What makes you think you couldn't fit a screen in there? I just think they would cost alot.
It would be great though if MameRoom supplied a basic shell that fitted a standard size widescreen TV/monitor. That might be something that could be affordable to import.
It's interesting you brought this up actually as it's my current dilemma in getting started on a digital pinball.

I would think that an old pin wouldn't be wide enough for an HDTV....I assume it would be too narrow and you would have to sacrfice size alot. Perhaps a smaller sized TV might fit ...32" perhaps? I'm thinking about a 40" widescreen for the project much like the size BBB has but I don't think that would fit into a pin...would it???
Have nada experience with real pins except playing them far and few between...but playing around with FP really is fun! ;D So much I think it merits its own dedicated cab...especially with dual screen!
You should definately get into the project HK as I'm sure awesome software would be bound to follow after you start tinkering with your project ;)
But I agree the obvious most expensive part of it is the TV itself...but at least the prices have dropped significantly these last few years and second hand ones are even more relatively affordable!

Would depend on the table, I think.
