I had a comment on the cardboard mockup, but I did not realise the thing was finished already. Now you're looking for stools, you're getting to the point that I had worries about. I guess the table could be much flatter. At least 2 inches/5cm less high. The way you made it now is going to leave little room for your legs.
And I never knew Apple sold their modernist stuff to people with those floor-tiles

I would throw on some doors (Coin door maybe??) to hide the PC. Not sure if that would mess up being able to get your legs underneath though... Defiantly cover up the treated lumber, maybe that's what you meant when you said that you were going to vinyl the middle. Otherwise I think it will be a neat little sit-down gaming station. You could always throw some wheels on that baby to make it easier to move too (This would add a little more height if that is an issue as well).

Hope that helps you out a bit...

I like this.
I agree with the others about covering the raw wood (Or at least slap a coat of paint on it), and hiding the pc.
Is there enough room to gut the pc case and put the works inside the control panel?
That would be really cool.

Otherwise, great work. And you work real fast with the busy schedule you have. (Now I cant use my job as an excuse for lagging).

Thats pretty sweet man. Very similar to the cab that I designed and wanna build.

I've gotta go with everyone else and say that the back board definitely needs some dressing....and the pc needs to be hidden.

Looks really good though man.

I really like it - you are going to have to get SFIV up and running once it comes out on the PC.

You could just get two cthulhu boards to hook up your sticks and play SF4 on it right now. They work on PC and PS3. Looks like you have the room to put the PS3 by the computer.

One thing you could think about for the post is adding a bit more plexi / lexan. Drill a couple holes so you can screw it into your wood and use a flush cutter router bit, then take it back off and spray the back side with black spray. You could also leave a window where you could insert an instruction card. If you don't want to wait for adhesive vinyl, then you can always just run to an upholstery shop and pick up a bit of left over in what ever color you like and a can of 3m adhesive spray. You can staple the corners in place and hide the staples with a L shaped piece of aluminum from home depot / lowes. They have the stuff in their metal working sections. Spray that any color you like and you will have a A+ machine.

Good job buddy, you are really doing a great job with this. Keep it up, and remember who you are making this for. Yourself:-)

I think Danny is suggesting decasing your PC and putting the motherboard and power supply in the control panel box. But I don't see that as necessary if you make a front door for the cabinet.

That's a TV, right? Is there an "input select" button on it? If there is, you could put consoles in there and play them with wireless controllers, you can easily switch video sources between PC and consoles with the input select button.

There's even room in there for DVDs and peripherals.

the reason is that this is quite a minimalist look, so the less clutter the better. it loks to me like yur feet probably will be where a front door would go...
