Okay, stupid question #2 for my in as many days.
Where or where do I go to remove the mouse cursor icon? I'm running Win98se. I do not have a mouse connected. Normally, without a mouse connected, Windows would automatically not show a mouse cursor. But every now and then, I use the mousekeys feature so I can do some configuration by maneuvering the mouse cursor with my numpad. But now I'm done, and I don't want the hour glass showing up when my ---steaming pile of meadow muffin--- loads.
Short of giving my mouse cursor an "invisible" icon, does anyone have any idea?

I found with Win'98 making an invisible cursor was the best way to go...otherwise the cursor kept springing up at times for no reason.

Simply put it's a bad idea and it's impossible to do well.
You see every single program calls the different cursors from windoze individually. So not only do you have to make an invisible pointer, but all of the cursor files have to be invisible, including custom ones that programs install. The problem with that is when it's time to do maintenance, it makes it very hard ot change the cursor scheme so you can use a mouse.

Actually, I got it working quite nicely. I don't use a mouse on my cab anyway. I either start VNC server and use my laptop (wi-fi), or navigate using keyboard, or just use DOS. All I needed to do was change my main cursor, my working in background cursor, and my busy cursor to be the "invisible" cursor. Voila.
Because mamewah is my shell, I never see any of the other cursors. Works wonderfully. I just wasn't sure if there was a registry key somewhere...

Ive only just started to use it (i.e. today) and it claims to be able to hide non-system mouse cursors too. So far so good.

Because mamewah is my shell, I never see any of the other cursors. Works wonderfully. I just wasn't sure if there was a registry key somewhere...

If u run Mamewah as a shell,does that mean u never see the cursor no matter what emu u run from mamewah?
I got Virtuanes running sweet from mamewah but i get mouse cursor in the center of the game.
I want to either get rid of it all together while in a game or some how make it move to upper corner out of sight.(hmmm...maybe some trickery with pc fan spinning non used mouse axis's in cab computer to the edges of screen..)

The orignal raging dragon did this trick, but unfortunately it doesn't work very well. Many emus actually center the cursor upon startup, and lameness ensues.

HC's right. I kept getting the cursor in the middle of the screen. But by making the arrow, the busy, and the working in background cursors invisible, I no longer see it at all :) .
I actually made a batch file to run that copies the regular arrow over top of the invisble one when I want to use the machine (it also lets me load explorer as shell) so I can actually get some work done if needed. Another batch file reverses this. Works great so far.
