I want to install a coin door in my cab eventually but I have absolutely no experience with how to do this. My cab is a unusual shape (you can look at my other thread for pictures if needs be) The door to my cab, on the front, is ever so slightly curved and my concern is if I was to buy a coin door such as this -

it would sit awkwardly. I'm not even a 100% sure how you secure a coin door. I'm guessing that I cut a hole the same size as the coin door into the cab but then how do I attach it to the cab and with what?
If anyone could give me some tips because I don't want to fork out for a coin door that may not fit into my cab... suggestions please! As I say the curve is slight but its still a curve all the same!

most coin door are secured from the frame with an adjustable tab,basically you cut the hole to the frame and then pull out the tabs and tighten the bolts
a slight curve could be a problem though as the frame will not want bend
have you thought of just installing the coin mech only and thus only have to cut a very small hole

Thanks for the feedback. Yes, I had thought about just having the mech and leaving the door but unforunately there is a slot already in the design of what I'm building my cab out of... Its fairly big and I wanted to replace it with a coin door (as thats around the same size) - I think I'll take a look at the cab tomorrow and weigh up the options - I think you're definately right though - getting just the mech would be safer, cheaper and just as good!
