Title: San Francisco Rush Find
Post by: wbassett on February 14, 2009, 02:11:09 pm
I'm down in PA visting my son and daughter and found a local arcade repair shop in the Scranton/Wilkes Barre area- Empire Arcades, INC.  509 Main Street Edwardsville PA.

The person I spoke to is Scott.  They have three games listed on eBay, Robocop $99, Time Pilot $175, Omega Race $99, and several Golf games for $75.

The Omega Race is the only one that doesn't work, the rest are fully operational.  I'd say overall they look in decent shape with normal wear and tear.

Scott asked what I was looking for and I told him I'm interested in a sit down racer and he showed me a very nice looking San Fran Rush.  He's not sure about the price, but thought they were selling it for $600.  Question... is that a good price for one of these that's in good shape and fully functional?

Another thing he has there that caught my eye is Juke Boxes!  They are CD Jukes and look in good to very good shape and all are in working condition.  He said $300 and bring my truck over and he'd load one up!  I'm talking to the wife right now about possibly getting one.

Overall these guys were very nice and they had a lot of cabs there.  He said they will be checking them out and putting a lot of them up for sale.  I figured if anyone here is in the Scranton/Wilkes area in PA and haven't found them yet, they are definitely worth talking to!

I told Scott about this site and will ask if it's okay to post their business number incase anyone else is interested.  Hell...  $75 for a Golden Tee (granted these are older version) is worth it just for the cab alone!

I just wanted to pass this along and also get some feedback on whether $600 is a good price for a nice looking fully working San Fran Rush.

if the Rush cab is in good shape and everything is working fine (artwork, coin mech, monitor, controls, etc) then I think its a good price. I've seen these go consistently higher in auctions.

Just saw this in a search for Omega Race (I'm remaking one) - just so you know, getting an Omega Race running if the board is acid damaged is going to be VERY expensive.  While I think the cab alone is worth $100 because of how cool it is - (I paid $50 I think) - I wouldn't get one to restore unless your sure the board isn't the problem.
