Did you try to calibrate it???
-
yes i have tried on 2 and 4 corner calibration.
-
What model monitor is it ?
Are you running the 3M MT 7.12 drivers and utilities ?

Try going into the MICROTOUCH CONTROL PANEL then TOOLS and RESETTING the controller.
And then re-calibrate.
There's always a chance it's just a bum screen too.

make sure u have a good ground. place one hand on a known grounded metal area. then touch screen if it works properly then u have a ground issue.

Having troubles too with a 3m touchscreen, just posted in the monitors forum - any answers?

not sure about the 3-m controllers, but the ELO ones have an advanced calibration. you have to touch the screen about 20 times all over but it works.
have a look through the programs and the options you may find something similar.

hi lilshawn, I take it you don't mean trying ELO drivers instead? I've exhausted all the install/config options with the 3M drivers. Tried version 12 and 13 of the 3M drivers and the calib is still way off. Maybe I have a duff screen.
-
Maybe you do have a faulty screen. I bought two 17" 3M Microtouch's, downloaded the drivers and it has worked fine on the first one I have tried. I haven't tried the second one though.

no, no... i j ust thought maybe they had the same type of thing.
try calibrating "small" IE if you get a target in the top left, come towards the middle of the screen about 1 inch. if you get a target in the bottom right side.. again come towards the middle... see if it works (even slighly)

3M Control Panel -
Under "Tools", click Advanced Options, Enable Manual Linearization.
A new tab with appear as "Controller..... click "Linearize".
This will start a much more detailed calibration process and accuracy test sequence.

someone mentioned ground earlier-this is very important
