I am building a Williams Multigame cab and can't decide if I should go with Randy's Microleaf style buttons or true leafswitches...
...any opinions?
-
I am about to put a MultiWilliams together... Leaf switches baby!!!
-
I guess it's time to go visit therealbobroberts.net...
...are you planning on using lighted buttons for P1 and P2? I am considering it.

leafswitches for defender.
I'd be curious what Randy has to say about it. He likes some defender too. I like the microleaf - I have a few of them, but I got leafs for my multi-williams.

I have a MW in the queue ... once I find a suitable donor cab that I don't have have to make any significant effort to obtain ... probably the next auction, although I am starting to like to playing Robotron on a 25" screen.
I am definitely going for fully lit leafs like Spacies has on his MW panels. If I could get 4" shafts machined for Wicos, I would light the joys up as well.
I have no blinged out MAME machine and tend to make my multigame cabs rather plain in comparison to the dedicateds, but this is a MultiWilliams and deserves to stand out.

Is it me or has jrok single-handedly fueled a massive Williams revival ?
-
Tell me about it. I just ordered parts from Bob. Going full leaf switch. I am going with standard long buttons aside from the player 1 and player 2 buttons which will be lit red...but bob only has short translucent buttons so I went with them (i'll have to mount the leaf switches direct to the panel for those two).
He also didn't have a yellow long button so I went with white.
I have my artwork being worked on now... some hardware on order... and new red t-molding in the mail....all I have to do now is bondo and repaint the cab.... then install. I tested Jroks board and it works in the cab, but the controllers have already been removed so i couldn't test other than to fire it up. The monitor has to go (too much burn), luckily I have a new Visionpro sitting here staring at me in the face.
I figure she should be up and running and completed in a couple weeks max.
