As someone who has ridden dirt bikes nearly my whole life (started at 9, so it's over 30 years... yikes), I was sad about the news but also amazed it has taken this long for someone to be killed in an event. What they're doing it just nuts.

Am I the only one that isn't moved by the fact that someone perished doing what amounted to daredevil theatrics?  It seems to me that these people must be well aware that one day they may not survive.  Or, at least, I hope they're not so arrogant that they think they're invincible.

Quite frankly, I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.
