A few years ago, I built a Cherry Master machine and used a Conlux bill validator. I order a part for it and was asked if I wanted to upgrade it to accept the newer style 2000 Series bills. I said no at the time, but wish I would have said yes...
I'm running into dead-end after dead-end trying to even get anyone to acknowledge that Conlux even made validators.
Is there a company or anyone out there who may be able to help me locate an update? I don't need the new 5's, but the newer style 10's and 20's would be nice. Right now it will take the 1996 Series "new" 10's and 20's. Anything is better than nothing.
Model # - NBU-2262-13B
27 Volt AC @ 60 Hz. Made by Nippon Conlux (Bought out by MEI).
Thanks in advance!

Mars did indeed buy them out several years ago. Have you talked to tech support at Mars yet?

I tried a couple of those places. The closest that I got was with stavend.com... They said that they can do the upgrade, but that they would have to send it back to Conlux/MEI to do it. I did not get a warm fuzzy about that since MEI told me that they don't support the NBU 2000 series anymore. I got the feeling that MEI just wanted to sell me a new pricy DBA.
I guess I'm just stuck using old bills. It doesn't really bother me that much as I'm only using it as a piggy-bank. I just like to have authentic machines for my piggy-banks. And a piggy-bank that doesn't accept my money isn't much of a piggy-bank...lol
