I had both guns working just fine, but a friend of mine kicked the cord and his gun completely stopped working. Every since then I can only get one or the other gun to fire at the screen. Both guns will recoil and act normal, but only one SHOOTS the screen.
I have reinstalled drivers, checked connections, settings of mame32 and I can get one or the other to work, but not both together. At first I thought maybe he broke the gun, but as I said, I can get one or the other to work. I see the red and blue crosshairs and each gun controls it's own, but only one will SHOOT the screen.

Within Mame, press TAB to enter the menu and ensure fire button 1 for the second gun is mapped to the appropriate device. The other day, my gun 1 didn't want to fire but it would track the cursor properly. When I went into the mame setup, I noticed that the tracking worked because it was set to "lightgun 1" but the fire buttons were mapped to mouse 5, when it should have been mouse 4. I remapped the button 1 again and it worked fine.
The reason for this is because I always disconnect the USB hub, so as to preserve the life of the guns/LED's. Even though I reconnected them in the same USB hub, for some reason the PC allocated Gun 1 to a different "mouse" number.
Whatever the case, it worked for me, so check it out, I have a feeling that's your problem.

I hope this is my problem, but where do i find a list of what each control should be set to?

Not sure if I understand your question:
- Start mame
- Select a lightgun game (example: Operation Wolf)
- press Tab
- Using the enter key, select "input (this game)"
- Using the enter key, select "P1 button 1"
- Now press the trigger on your lightgun and it should assign the trigger as button 1.
- Do the same for the rest.
I've assigned the 2 button to the handle button ("C") and I've set the coin to "SE/BA" and the start button to the lightgun "start". That way, I don't have to press anything on the cab anymore.
Hope that helps,

What confused me was how Mame32 had them labeled. I expected to see, fire, reload.... not analog, dec, inc. What do they mean?
It has:
Lightgun X - Analog
Lightgun X - Dec
Lightgun X - Inc
Lightgun Y - Analog
Lightgun Y - Dec
Lightgun Y - Inc

Well, someone can correct me but only worry about the analog one. The Dec/Inc I always saw as decrease/increase which the settings affected a digital output (ie: if you were using the keyboard). I don't know but it doesn't matter. Just concentrate on the analog settings and you'll be ok.

...only worry about the analog one. The Dec/Inc ... [are for] digital [devices] (ie: if you were using the keyboard)...
Correct.
