Title: Need help with Maximus Arcade...somebody who knows it very well!

I'm having several problems with Maximus Arcade and need some help. I want to be able to remove the "importing fonts, importing sounds, importing other B.S. before the Maximus logo comes up. Now, there is no option to do this unless you get the latest Beta version...hence my problem. I cannot get the Beta version to open without this script error...see attached image.

When I go to load it this happens...

The scanning Media process freezes completely and if I choose Script Error "Yes" it locks up my whole screen. If I choose "no" it goes back to my desktop. What is causing this? I've downloaded the X-Vid thing but it doesn't help. My Mame execution path & rom path are linked correctly (although I'm using version 0.98 of Mame). I have a pretty good Dell 2 GHZ (I think) PC. Does anyone know why this is happening...IT"S DRIVING ME NUTZ!!! I want to use the latest version specifically to remove this importing stuff. The one who answers this for me will win a prize...LOL!

You really should report this to the author as a bug report.

Where did you install the beta version?

You need to install BETA 2.10.8 first
then replace the the "Maximus Arcade.exe"  and "Prefences.exe" with the latest one (2.10.11 I think) keeping everything else in the folder the same

if that doen't work try setting up an emu other than Mame to see if it a wierd thing with the mame.xml file

Did what you said and it does the same thing. I also tried NES emulator as well...same thing.

so everything works fine in beta 2.10.8?

if so then it dose seem like a bug

it is beta after all

mine works fine though

 Could you email me at potf1985@yahoo.com? All the Beta versions I've tried have the same script error. The last verion I had that worked was version 209, but there is no option on that one to remove the "importing fonts, importing sounds" stuff. Like to talk to you so pleas email me.

I'm now having the exact same problem would love to have the solution posted if indeed a solution was found.
