Title: Mala Mameroom Layout Issue (SOLVED)
Post by: Spinach on February 06, 2009, 11:12:01 pm
I am having trouble with the Mameroom layout on my PC.  I can get everything working fine on one computer but not the other.  On my PC I get the arcade pic with chalkboard, etc, and the Marquee and list, but no screenshot or anything else.  I did not change any names or folder names, and the snaps match the roms.

Any thoughts?

FYI, I have already deleted and reinstalled the mameroom layout, no good.

I would check the path to the snap folder etc is correct.

I've done that, all seems to be OK.

Could it be that I copied the files from another computer and it renamed them somehow?  I checked the names and that doesn't seem to be the case.

I have folders set up as:

Mame
   >  snaps
         > Marquees
         > Screenshots
         > Cabinets
         > Controls

I list the snaps to snaps and the marquee to marquees

I have no control panels yet.

With the mameroom layout the marquee and screenshots would show up, on this computer, only the marquee is visable.  All other settings are identical when I go into options while in MaLa.

Solved!

For anyone interested (or reading this board looking for answers) the solution was:

I had to copy and paste the text file into Windows through Control > Fonts.  I also changed the screen resolution to 1024 (?)

I use Window XP home edition.

I can't believe that was the problem, but BAM!  There it is, running fine.

That's strange.  What text file?

That's good that you got it working though
