What's your point?

My point is these were suppose to be limited and then the stock when it would get down to just a few left, it would shoot back up again.

Good marketing strategy I guess, that’s my point.  :applaud:

So come out and say it. You're accusing RandyT of...... (you fill in the blank, since you're making these allegations)

Then why doesn't he just always have it say, "Limited stock" or something to that effect, if that were the case? Trick people into buying because they think he's about to be out of them. Maybe it's because the guy is good at what he does and can meet the demand. RandyT and I haven't always seen eye to eye, but he's an honest guy and does excellent business around here. He has no need for cheap tricks to get sales. His reputation moves products for him.

Randy or anyone else for that matter is definitely not going to go through the time, effort and expense to make something like those and only do a run of like 10-20.
I for one don't expect someone like Randy to disclose how many he has made up at any given time. (that his business)

I'm sure the first run was just enough to justify even starting such a product. (which is probably a much greater number than what some may think)

There is a whole wide world of arcade enthusiasts out there besides BYOAC members......many of which have been in the biz for a long time..... so yes, the demand is there whether anyone here realizes the possible extent of it or not.

And sure..... there is always a "limited supply"...... if demand slows down and sales slow down, he could just up and quit making them..... I'm sure Randy is watching that aspect closely as to not get toooo far into the red on the manufacturing side of something like this.

He's doing the community good, much more than others would have attempted.
Let's just leave it at that.

Randy has stated the reason why the count suddenly pops up higher. He only puts them in the store once he has them boxed and ready to ship. Obviously he didn't feel like boxing up however many handles were in the run before putting them in the store. He's doing them as he has time and as the demand dictates. It's certainly not a trick.

I think I have said all I need to here.  :P

Take away from it what you want.

Thats what he WANTS you to think. The Tron handle market in this country is worth millions, no one is debating that. Anything you can do to give yourself an edge over the massive competition is worth it. Visitor Q isn't the first to see the globe spanning hand of masterminds like Randy, we can just hope someday the consumers will stand up against backroom Tron replacement handle shenanigans. This topic is certainly worthy of suspicion and discussion.

+1

LOL! Maybe he did have 1000 made and he is holding out on us?

Hehe, even I'm not that crazy.

The numbers shown on the store for this item reflect what we have packaged up as a set from the main boxes and have sitting on the shelf waiting to be shipped.  As for the total numbers....suffice it to say that they are nearing "half gone" status after only a few days of becoming available.

And you are very welcome, Patent Doc.  Thanks everyone for the orders. :)

Good job catching him in that! VQ, why are you throwing out jabs for no good reason at a guy who is a major asset to our community?
