I think you should move the rt and lt mouse buttons below the TB so they won't interfere when playing 4 way games.

Maybe do away with the two buttons above the trackball as you could just as easy use any of the others. A spinner in the void above player 2's joystick would also be good if you can stretch to it.

Overall, it's a nice compact design.

If your not a purist, you can use the TB as a spinner...Thought I agree with the removal of the two buttons that Turnarcades suggested.

I would say don't bother with the two mouse buttons - make them player 1 button 1 and button 2, and ditch the 7th player buttons - you really don't need them. I know if you want true neo geo and street fighter type layouts you would want both, but in reality you will probably not end using all seven.

And yes - a spinner in there somewhere!

Yeah, particularly the 7-button thing - it's easy to replicate a comfortable 'Neo-Geo curve' using 6 buttons anyway - see some of our projects to see how it looks.

Where do you guys get this artwork? Or did you do it yourself?

Very impressive. My CP is plain black laminate (it fits with the theme I'm going after), but that looks very nice!

What joysticks are you using?  Can you get rid of the dedicated 4 way?  I would avoid putting anything above the trackball if you play golden tee, bowling, shuuz, etc.  So be careful where you put your spinner.  I can't count the number of times I have smacked my fingers.

I disagree with removing the 7th button, and you cant replicated the neogeo curve with 6 buttons accurately without making the 2 rows retardedly curved. if you play a lot of neogeo keep the 7th button, it also makes a great run button in MK3 and the 7th button and first 2 buttons of the bottom row make a great NBA Jam set up too

If you move your 4way stick above the 8way... about 1.5" to the left of it,
and 1cm to 1" above it... It should be much easier to play with.

Otherwise, you will have to place you arm on top of the 6 buttons to use
it..  and possibly have you arm running into the 8way stick.

First for the artwork question, a friend of me help me with this stuff, So it's a custom artwork and he work in a vinyl place, so he will make the impression to.

For the 4 way joystick, I'm still not sure if I will keep it or not... and the spinner will go above the player2 joystick.

thanks for the comment, it's still not finish, so good time to make some modification.

Question for the mouse button.

How can I  configure it with the i pac2. Is there a keyboard button equivalent to mouse button.... right know, they are part of my trackball (USB) harness, (IT's a x arcade trackball).

Thank's Gino

No not really. the mini-pac features two non-programmable inputs labelled 'mouse left' and 'mouse right' but when I asked andy he said they are pre-programmed to a couple of numberpad keys ('5' and '+' I think) which activate those mouse buttons if you turn on mousekeys in Windows. I've never found use for this though as I use the number pad arrows as the mappings for player 2's directions, and you can't have both mousekeys and nnumlock enabled at the same time.

whats the spacing between the buttons? for my custom CP I curved the buttons (7 of them) to my own natural hand at rest. I own a few arcade machines and have played countless more and find that after awhile they mostly feel unnatural and awkward (if you keep your hand hovering over all the buttons).

I do find a lot of games where I don't hover the buttons (double dragon is a cab I own for example) but I find other games where you're using multiple buttons constantly, the spacing can become awkward (if you've ever learned to play guitar its a similar feeling.

Here's a good resource on various layouts for sticks and buttons

I would use a clone brush and remove the WARNING / DANGER from the sides.

Glad to see my CP came in handy! ;D Well done! It looks quite catchy on the Radioactive style design!:applaud:

Have you considered changing the red to a radioactive green?

Nice job on the marquee also!
