Yup, extreem toobin' on the 4th of July if I can get the JetSkis running properly in time (that's pulling someone behind the ski on an inner tube & having them hold on for life if you've never seen this before).
As far as critters go, there are plenty of gators, snakes, rabbits, birds, fish, crabs, etc...
Lots of good eating except for the snakes of course.
;)

Sounds like you live in a swamp - I lived in Houma(I see you are in LA) for a while and "gators, snakes, rabbits, birds, fish, crabs, etc..." pretty much describes that town. Have fun toobin' and don't get bit! :)

Small world Frosty!
I live about 15 miuntes from Houma along Bayou Lafourche.
Graduated from NSU many moons ago & now I commute about 1.5 hours each way to & from work because I like the bayou too much to move closser (wife thinks I'm crazy).
As a kid I hated living in Southern LA because of the lack of oppertunities & excitement & couldn't wait to move away.
As an adult, I've traveled the world & as I grow older & more mellow, I find myself enjoying the slower pace here in the styx.
It's a complete 180 from my work environment.
Ahhh balance...
:)
