Title: weighing down an arcade stick.

how do you guys do it?

i prefer stiff sticks so i need a heavy stick to keep it sturdy. do you guys add weights to your sticks?

10x< joystick force to engage - stick weights

3.5kg doesnt seem heavy enogh, i really want that genuine arcade feel without getting an actual arcade cab.

That is assuming that you only use the minimum force to engage the joystick.  If I'm going to be doing a reversal DP in SF I'm probably going to exceed that 100x over.

Broken, are you playing on your lap or do you set your stick on the floor/table?

I attach all mine to a 300 pound cabinet. They never move.  :)

jack, i've never tried the floor, i usually play on my lap or a chair.

when i say heavy, i mean at leasdt 10kg's or more to weigh it down. i have professional bodybuilding plates (the type you get in gyms that cost hundreds, not the type you can buy from a regular store) which i never use. 5kg, 10kg and 20kg plates.

more important surface from weight is stability
good gum on bottom

a really stiff old style suzo stick with sanwa buttons built from scratch. it broke down a while ago though.

regarding the weights, i want to connect some type of stand at the bottom of my stick which can be weighed down with the weights.

any advice on buying a stick would also help, something with a small throw preferably.
