Ok I searched the forums and couldn't really find a solution so I thought I would give this a try. I have a mame cab that I had hooked up and everything was working great until my cpu fan went out and ended up frying the old cpu. So I decided that instead of repairing the computer I would use a new one. However when I tried the new one I only got the rolling screen for the component picture. I swapped out the video card with the old one and then it still didn't work so I tried an older driver set and it still didn't work. I've fiddled with the settings in catalyst and still couldn't get a picture, the most frustrating part is I know this card works and I need to figure out just how so now I beg you for help.
The computer is running XP with an ATI Radeon 9550, I've tried to force TV in catalyst and it was a no go, any suggestions?
also i have the old hard drive and an external enclosure, so if there is a way to get the settings off that I'm all ears too.

ok i pulled all the drivers off the hard drive and still no change. anyone know if there are any issues with which windows updates are applied? The only difference in the 2 computers is that the cpu is faster, hard drive is bigger and the version of xp might have more updates applied to it.

ok I got it, I ended up plugging in the s-video to component and was still getting the rolling screen so I changed the display size to 800X600 and it came in clear with a blue tint, so i went back to the 640X480 and noticed the blue tint, but the picture was clear now, so I looked at the back and sure enough the cables were switched. Switched them back and hooked up the dvi to component and we came in crystal clear.
