Are 4 spinners with attachable steering wheels too much for a regular 4P CP with 7 buttons for each?
-
To me, yes. Then again I think a 4P CP is too much. Also, you don't need 7 buttons for P3 and P4.
-
Yeah, I think it could be a bit too much. I just love games like Super Sprint and Offroad 8)
I think I'll leave the 7 buttons for console games and such.
-
Not too many 4 spinner games, and the ones there are are usually cocktail: warlords, destruction derby, hot rod, & sprint 4 (and sprint 8 had 8) OTTOMH. And not much space to put them in working range and not too close to the joysticks (so you don't hit the sticks while using the wheels).
I prefer multiple or modular CPs, though. (I'm planning (still) a three 360 wheel CP to go with my other CPs, 5 ATM.)
OTOH, if you can find the space for three, and like offroad, super sprint, the above games, and can place the spinners so you could play tron and other joy+spinner games (that you like to play), I'd say go for it.

Yea I would made a seperate panel for the steering wheels, if you really want them!

If there's a driving game you REALLY need, I'd just buy it in dedicated form.

Thanks for the feedback guys.
I think I'll forget the spinners for now. A separate CP might the best way to go.

Didn't Atari football (X's and O's) have four spinners as well ......

Yup, which also was cocktail (or ITC dinner table) type cab. (Same with Atari soccer.)
