Title: S-Video question
Post by: Zoist on June 23, 2003, 11:38:47 pm
I am thinking of using my TV out from my Geforce card to a samsung TV. The problem is that the TV has only composite input and my video card has S-Video out. I have an adaptor to convert S-Video to cosposite. Is there a great deal of difference in picture quality? I am not too sure. The problem is that only really expensive TVs have S-Video input and in Australia there isn't much choice of some things.

Thanks.

Actually, there is a big difference in picture quality.  I would recommend you get an S-video TV.

However, if you go the S-Video to Composite route, there are converters.  Also, an S-VHS VCR in many cases can do it as wekk.
