Title: Help Installing A Trackball
Post by: MK3FAN on January 24, 2009, 10:49:45 pm
Hey guys. I've had my Cab for a few years now and recently decided to install a Trackball. It's a Happ 3". I bought it years ago in the planning stages of the build, and now I want to install it. I figured I could just hack an old mouse but that is proving to be more difficult that I thought. Is there anyway to interface it easily. Does anyone know if it's even possible? Here are some pics and a video of what I am doing and my control panel. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks - Mike.

there is also the optiwiz from groovygamegear

it is pretty cost effective...i have not personally used one, but i plan on ordering one here in the next week or two to interface my trackball.

Thanks a lot guys. I ended up getting the interface from Happ. Just easier for me than trying to figure out how to hack the mouse. Looks like the interface kit comes with different optical boards, so I doubt I would have been able to hack the mouse in the first place. Thanks again and I'll let you know how it turns out.
