I recently bought a working klax arcade machine. I plan on converting it to a Mame cab so I started looking inside. It's not an original Klax, in fact, it has stern 1981 all over it. The Control panel overlay underneath the Klax overlay is cliff hanger.
Anyways, I plan on installing a jpac into this thing after I clean it up and I need to know what all this stuff is inside so I can decide wheather I need to remove it or leave it in for the monitor or internal power, etc etc.
Take a look at these pics and help me out if you can.
Thanks
Mike

Cliff Hanger !! :o
Do you have any idea how hard those are to find?
The majority of that stuff in the cab is probably original to the Cliff Hanger and not the Klax.

willing to sell if anyone is interested.
Also, there is an electrical outlet and a sticker about a laser disk player, lol

Just looked it up on Klov, the cab is definitely a Cliff hanger original. No disk player in it, but I believe all the insides are original to cliff hanger. It's been converted to jamma.

Show us some pictures of the cabinet please. Also the Cliff Hanger cp overlay.
Cliff Hanger was always my favorite Laser Disc game. Without the player not as much interest, but I bet if you posted you would find someone that is very interested in that cabinet.

Pic #4 is the "slam switch". It's a switch that would activate if someone kicked the front of the machine or usually the coin door. You don't need it.

The overlay is basically unusable. The klax is stuck right over the top and I don't see it coming out as they used a bunch of woodfiller on the holes that basically ruined it. And since I'm keeping the cab for my Mame project, looks like its no big seller then. I thought someone might want the innards.
I'll just run a trace on the power to see what I need and what I don't need to power the monitor.
Thanks

I would still hook it up. a few games have a tilt.
just like pin ball. get to rough and switch kills game.
I like the idea
set it to Esc key
kick to hard GAME OVER and back to menu.
