I'm looking at a z back dynamo cab on my local craigslist. I have a Tahoe I could use to transport. I'm wondering if it's going to be a problem to transport that on it's back or if I need to find a buddy with a pickup.

Make sure everything inside is secure first, then just lay it down. On its back is fine.

Ask for some measurement of the cab. and then measure the truck bed.

I have transported a couple of cabinets and have laid them down on their backs to transfer them and all was fine. Make sure everything is secure before moving, lay down a big blanket or some towels and slide it in and you should be fine. I actually transported cabinets on their back with a pickup truck because without a lift or four guys it is easier, plus they don't have to be tied down when they are on their backs. Just secured so they don't slide around.

I transport cabs on there back all the time.
do like every one here has said but I noticed nobody has said re check
everything again before plugging it up again.
I fried a Nintendo VS board once.
I got it home and was all excited and plugged it right up. :blowup:
took a few weeks to find one on EBay.

I put a Donkey Kong in my MDX and the doors closed just fine.

I would use cardboard to slide it around on. It protects the game and the truck and make it very easy to move the cabinet around.
I put a Tron in a Chevy Blazer with the back seats folded down and it just fit.
Like they all said check inside before you lay it down.

When we were delivering our cabinets we used to lie them on their backs with no bother, and many others I spoke to said they found it ok with a variety of cabs.
My advice is to lie a duvet cover on the floor to create friction and padding but avoid scuffs. Plus, when time comes to unload you can drag the duvet to pull the cabinet out and it will pad the edge of the vehicle on its way out.

Thanks guys, unfortunately I wasn't able to get over to this guy's house last night and it looks like it sold. :cry: Good information to know when the next one pops up.

+1 for cardboard or moving blankets if you have them.
Yeah, be sure to check that things are secure before *AND* after you move. I killed a rather nice 25" monitor because I powered up without checking things after the move. A single screw, that looked secure when I checked initially, had come loose and was sitting on the monitor chassis when I plugged it in.
I never made that mistake again.
