I found someone selling an ACT PC light gun for cheap...this is how he describes it:
PC & TV USB light gun. It needs to connect to your VGA port via the VGA Box. I have the PC USB version.
Can anyone tell me if this gun will work with a JPAC/SOFT15KHZ combo running an arcade monitor?

The USB PC version means it is meant to run on a PC monitor. Will not work on an arcade monitor.
My Bad apparently this is the unit that works with arcade monitors.

It was my understanding the TV version doesn't work with arcade montiors -- you want the USB/VGA version, which is the PC version, for your arcade machine.
At least, that's the one I have, and it works like a charm with my ArcadeVGA card on a real arcade monitor.
Great question Fred; I was actually looking to upgrade to a PC with more OOmph -- but that would involve a motherboard without AGP slots -- I want to accomodate a dual or quad core processor - so it would mean bye-bye to my ArcadeVga card (v1). If we confirm the guns work with Softkhz, then I'm all in too! Anyone out there use this combo? Thanks!

I've a dual core cpu with a agp slot on the motherboard

So you're saying you DID get it running with an AVGA/JPAC combo? If so, that's at least a good forward step. Somewhere I read someone had issues getting them to work with SOFT15KHZ but for the life of me I can't find that post.
Has ANYONE gotten these to work with soft15khz running?
I guess that's the question now.
