I am thinking of biting on it (might already even be sold out). But I can't tell if this is a real SF2 or some kind of Frankensteined thing.
-
I wouldn't pay $400.00 for that.
-
Most Street Fighter games were in generic cabinets. That's just how JAMMA works.
From what I saw, it looks like a pretty nice cab, but $400 is a bit too much.
-
There was never a dedicated SF2 World Warrior, but you did predominantly see it in Dynamo cabs, which the one in your link is not.
The CP on that cab looks all kinds of messed up, but you could always replace. The cab looks like it would be good for fighting games or MAME.
$400 is too steep though. Offer them $200
This one looks much better to me in the hartford area:

That was the first thing to catch my attention...... that odd joystick and button layout.
Definitely a conversion cabinet.
I'd say $200-$250 tops.
(really only because the monitor works)

Plus it has 2 dual entry coin doors. Looks kinda weird on a 2 player game.

Lets assume they were horribly, irreparably damaged and leave it at that.

I'd swear it was a four player game at one time, like NBA Jam or something and the control panel has been cut down. Player 2 controls are angled like it would normally be on the end of a four player panel, but why Player one joystick is up where it is I have no idea.
But that would account for it having four coin slots. :dunno
Not a horrible looking cab.... just odd enough to need changing. (still not worth $400)
Why is he lighting them on fire?????
Typical chop shop style operation.
Seems they strip more than they build.
Sad to say but it's all too common now for people to make more money off the parts than to restore the entire cab and then sell it.
(I personally do not like it, but whatcha gonna do)

That is exactly what I am thinking. My initial reaction is that the cab used to be a TMNT cab. The left joystick and button layout are almost in the right places for a cut down CP. Not quite though.
If that is a cut down CP, that is an awful lot of work. All that cutting, shaping, and drilling. If the operator was going to be a bastard about it, it would've been far easier to reuse as many holes, drill new holes and cap the rest with a sticker and a sheet of plexi.
-
It kind of looks like a gauntlet cabinet.

I just checked ot that site and found this.

I wonder who thought it was a good idea to convert a M.A.C.H. 3 into a 4 player cabinet.
There is no possible way to fit 4 people in front of this cabinet.
EDIT: Nevermind, the site wont let me save that pic.

Thanks for the heads up. Guess I'll pass on this.
Thanks for the link to the empty cabs, but I already have an empty Kangaroo cab that I was gonna work on.
Does an empty Kangaroo cab seem good for a Mame cab that will be used mostly for fighters and beat-em ups?
I have a 2 player Hotrod joystick to go into it. (considered building my own CP but I just do not know where to start and have ZERO knowledge of building such a thing. As in, I don't even know what tools to use to CUT WOOD.
