Anyone ever use this? Linksys WMB54G Wireless-G Music Bridge, does it work?

Looks like that'd work pretty well if you have amplification where you're going to put it. The reviews at Newegg on it are fairly positive.

I am putting together a similar setup as you seem to be doing. I have a 15" LCD touchscreen I'm going to be flush mounting in my wall with a PC behind the wall. I'm using a soundcast audio transmitter/receiver combo unit to transmit my tunes to my home theater sound system http://www.amazon.com/Soundcast-ACP-200-AudioCast-Transmitter-Receiver/dp/B000NM8KE8/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1232656880&sr=8-2 (http://www.amazon.com/Soundcast-ACP-200-AudioCast-Transmitter-Receiver/dp/B000NM8KE8/ref=pd_bbs_sr_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1232656880&sr=8-2). The unit works well and can be hooked up to an additional receiver if need be. The one issue I've had with it currently is that it seems to interfere with my home wireless network if the transmitter is place directly in line with a computer using a wireless connection. For me its not that big of a deal but obviously if you could find a unit that doesnt do this that would be preferable.
I dont know if I could output sound to another set of powered speakers using the same PC.
I wonder if that linksys would interfere with my wireless network? How much is that thing? EDIT - Its cheaper than what I bought! Oh well I suppose I would have buy a wireless card for my computer though, so it would be around the same price...........but I wouldnt have interference issues with it then....
Damn... :hissy:

That was the main driver, 25$ on Amazon, and I bought it so i'll let u know how it goes.

Sat down with this thing for 3 days straight, somehow its working now, im not going to ask any questions and I just walked away quietly, sounds great, easy to use, great price. There was some interference with my 6Ghz phone, but that seems to be gone now, If your willing to grind it out this isn't a bad product for the price.

So its not "user friendly"? What was so difficult about it? I dont think I plan on switching from my Soundcast but it would be nice to know my alternatives, just in case.

I'm not a network guy, but it needs a static IP, and the setup wizard that comes with it didn't work, the tips online are all differnet depending on your os, I just had a funky time making it work, trying differnet ip's and such, check the reviews and you will see lots of people who had similar expieriences.
