I've tried arcadeos (you must hit enter after you pick a game so that doesn't work since i don't want to reprogram my xarcade), i've tried game launcher but for some reason it freezes on screenshots and won't recognize inputs all the time, that isn't an xarcade prob either before everyone jumps to conclusions about the xarcade, lol...it works fine in game no drop, lag, or anything... any other fe's you think would work good on a cab?

you can tell arcadeos to use a different button besides "enter" to launch games
take a scroll through the arcadeos.cfg (or what have you) file and change it to say the "1" button or whatever...
at least that's what I'd do.

I tink there are better choices for a front-end anyways. ArcadeOS seems a bit outdated IMO.
-
no rampy, it isn't that... it's that when i exit a game arcade os is minimized and i have to hit enter in order to maximize it again...
-
What version of mame are you using? It doesn't do that to me when I use Advmame 70, but it does do it to me if I use a win32 version of mame.
-
i'm using .69 windows command line
i really really want to use arcade os...
-
Why not use DOS?
-
hmmz...would the xarcade work in dos, and my soundcard and my graphics card and all of that?
i suppose i could edit the autoexec.bat to not boot into windows and to load arcade os
hmmz
that would be a faster load too
-
i don't want to have to compile another mame tho when i have it all on there already :( lol

Well, you could just hit button 3 (space bar) instead of enter. :D

Yes, the Xarcade will work in DOS. And it all depends what you got going for a sound card :) Chances are, unless it's onboard, it should be fine.
Oh, and you'll have to edit the msdos.sys to tell it not to boot into windows, not the autoexec. Change "bootgui=1" to "bootgui=0"
