I guess I should have made a glass topic but this will make it easier for people to find in future searches I guess.
What thickness should I get for the glass that goes in front of the monitor? If I get smoked glass will the thickness effect how visible things are behind it?
I was thinking 1/8" would be good just incase a hand on Golden Tee would smack the glass. ::)
Thanks as always guys!

So people are hitting the glas? Go tempered at least, and think 1/5th - 1/4th.

No one is hitting the glass but things can happen, I am trying to prepare for those things.

I have 1/4" plexi. Seems about right to me. (Same thickness as the original glass it had)

1/4" is the standard thickness for these machines?
-
Split the difference and go 3/16".

You just gotta be different, huh?

hahaha
It's like you read my mind Shardian!
I been reading some back posts here and it seems like 3/16" and 1/4" come up the most.
ps. On a side not I see pinball machine glass is 3/16". That is a very big piece of glass, you know people are going to be leaning on that at some point and time.

3/16" tempered glass will do it -- just be careful with the edges (e.g. don't set it down roughly on edge on a concrete floor).

Someone did that with a pinball playfield glass at the Superauctions I went to...
