I've searched the boards and I cant seem how to find out how to install my new Ultimarc Mag-stiks. Specifically I'm building a bartop to the same specs as the Weecade, found here: http://www.koenigs.dk/mame/eng/stepweecade.htm (http://www.koenigs.dk/mame/eng/stepweecade.htm) Looking at his metal control panel though I noticed he didnt drill any holes in the cp for mounting the Mag-stiks, so does anyone know how he did it or am I just wrong in this conclusion? I emailed him about it but got no response. :(

no trick.
You must drill 5 holes
1 larger hole for joy stick
4 screw holes for screwing base to the under side of CP
I forget the hole size for the joy stick ( some one will pop in soon and tell us)
I would bet what you saw was a CP with recessed drill holes to hide the screws (art work and a dust cover covering the joy stick hole)

Im guessing so as well but looking at this picture it doesn't "appear" that he drilled any holes other then the main hole for the joystick itself.

there could be bolts welded to the bottom side of the control panel...thats how my dynamo cabinet's metal panel was made

On mine (Neo Geo MVS) the screws are welded to the CP
With Andy's (Ultimarc) help I was able to fashion a mounting plate to fit the Mag Stik Plus joysticks to the Japan Spec control panel.
I'll Upload pictures soon of the joysticks and shiny CP.

Beautiful CP! Did you make that CP yourself or did you go to a machine shop and get that done?

Veeeeery nice!!! :notworthy: I am soon to be mounting two Magstick Pluses and a Happ 3" trackball into a steel CP; can you advise how you did that please? That really is the perfect finish!
Nice one JTSlade!
