Title: Anyone know the board they made Killer instincts on is the same as ?

I'm looking to try a new project to find boards that killer instincts were made exactly like IE: mortal kombats ? blitz ? ???. I have the roms so just need a non populated pcb board w/security chip. Anyone know this or have what i'm looking for ?

yeap KI1 and 2 have the same boards, the pinout on the HD is different but theres an adapter or you can do the flash drive mod

KI2 boards can ONLY be KI2 because of the harddrive controller IC.  KI1's can be converted into KI2 with the extra PCB mounted to the harddrive slot.  I have made a KI2 into a KI1 but I had to unsolder the harddrive controller IC and replace it with one from a KI1. (NOT fun, surface mount parts with weak traces that come up easily)

I would but I cant right now,  Im away from home for the next 15 months.

I was trying to see if these KI boards were the same as any other games, but these are the only boards Midway made that are 1 game specific. Thanks for the replies though.
