I am looking for TVs to try to swap. I have a 19k4915 and a 25k7191 that have some burn in. So far I have read that RCAs with dials are good candidates. Do you know of any others? Are there any TVs that work for most monitors? I am also trying to get some tech links about this so I have plenty of references, if you have any good links, please share them.
I have done a handful of capkits, but nothing else with monitors. Any tips would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul

Here are the links you need:

Most 1980's and early 1990's tv sets seem to have pretty good candidate donor tubes in them. In general the tv's from the 80's that had pushbutton tuners seem to have exact replacement tubes as the original monitor! Granted the yokes may be different and/or bonded (glued to the tube) yokes.

Thanks Ken, that helped a lot.

Is there anything I need to watch out for when looking for a tube for the k4915? I don't know if there is a big difference in the tube for medium res. The tube in mine is M48AAW00xWMA. I found an RCA TV with an A48ABE10x, do you have any idea if this would work. All I know from the numbers is that the 48 means 19". I am looking for a Zenith TV that will hopefully use the same tube I have.
Thanks,
Paul

The M48AAW uses socket adapter 23, but the A48ABE10X uses socket adapter 24. These tubes are not compatible with each other. Wired totally different.

Thanks for the information Ken. Do you happen to know what model TVs may have used the M48AAW00X?
Thanks,
Paul

Nope.

Ken, I've got a RCA lyceum TV with pushbuttons on the front. The tube number and model are missing, or I would give them to you.
Do you think it would be a good candidate for a swap?
I have thinking about converting this TV so that I can connect arcade pcbs to it. I think I might be able to swap the chassis and connect the monitor controls to the pots on the front for brightness, sharpness, tint, etc.
