Headkaze, I need you on this one... I downloaded CPwizard and I also downloaded the bezel patch...I installed and I unzipped the patch and placed it in the CPwiz folder. I have MAME 114...and I think I did everything right....I love the program.
One question though.... I have it set up where the control panel pops up when I hit pause. To go back to the game I hit pause twice...( once to hide the cp and pause to unpause the game)...Is there a way where I can just hit pause once? ( i.e I hit pause and the game pauses PLUS pops up the cp and then it goes away and un-pauses when i hit pause again?)
Please dont make me say pause again... :blah:

I wondered the same thing when I was using CPwizard. I'm planning on trying the latest version sometime soon.
-
I downloaded the new version yesterday from work...installed it last night...
-
Well, I have a different reason for downloading the latest version (U360 fixes, focus issues supposedly resolved)

The cpwizard thread a few posts down, along with the included help file have all the information that you need. I started setting up cpwizard a few days ago and was able to figure out everything by reading in those 2 locations.

I'm not at home so I can't tell you the specific setting, but yes there is a checkbox in there somewhere that will cause mame to unpause on the first pause press.
-
I've got to start working on setting this up. I've already conquered getting MultiMAME working with Maximus Arcade. This is my next task.

Thanks ShanMan....same here...Im not at home either... send me what you know...and that way I can print it out and take it home and then go from there...
I just looked over the CPwizard post...and I am seriously wishing there is a CPWizard for dummies....cuz I am definatly riding on the short bus!

On the mame tab under the options menu there is a box at the bottom for "Send Pause Key". You need to select this.
Since you are using mame114, I don't know if there are any caveats. I am using mame127 and it works fine with that but at some point there was an issue with older versions of mame since the mame output system did not send a pause output. I don't know if this will affect you or not.

I am having this same issue. I played around with the "Send Pause Key" but then I read in the Help files that it only works in MAME 118 and earlier. I am using MAME 125. Is there a way around this for me?

Anyone figure out whether you can do this with mameui32 v129? I would like to be able to press p to show the controls and then press p again to return to the game.
Also, is it possible to also show the moves list (command.dat) without having to enable the menu system? Like for example, pressing P to show the control panel and then maybe hitting an arrow key, or another button and going to the moves screen?
thanks,
EDIT: I went to options and input and changed the show key, the back key, and exit key all to 'P' and now pressing P will get me back to the paused game - but I still have to press P again to unpause the game, not a huge deal but it would be cool to be able to just hit P once to exit the control panel view and unpause the game.

Are you saying the bezel source patch doesn't work with .129?
-
For the people who are having problems with Mame not being unpaused after exiting CPWizard, you must apply the bezel_0129u2.diff (http://members.iinet.net.au/~freeaxs/cpwizard/bezel_0129u2.zip) to the Mame source code just as you would MKChamp's hiscore diff (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=64298.0). So I suggest you read how to apply that patch and do the same with the bezel patch. There are some fairly decent instructions in the Mame Compiler 64 (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?topic=71845.0) thread.

Yeah, I found that thread yesterday after I posted, looks like that will work I'm sure - I just have to get around to doing it :)
Any ideas on my other question:
Is it possible to also show the special moves list (command.dat) without having to enable the menu system? Like for example, pressing P to show the control panel and then maybe hitting an arrow key, or another button and going to the moves screen?
Any help is appreciated, and thanks headkaze for an awesome program!
