Hi everyone,
This is my first post and I've been visiting these forums for info for the last few months and I'm purchasing this mame cabinet and picking it up this Saturday and the owner has used that Krylon textured paint to paint the cabinet. My question is would it be possible to paint over this without stripping.

With Spray paint or Latex.
Thanks

Sure you can paint over it.. but without sanding or stripping it down to smooth, you'll have a texture showing in your paint job.

Ok thanks, I actually wouldn't mine the texture since I'm not planning on doing any sideart.
My plans are really just to paint the kick panels, sides, and everything above the CP a black latex. Replace the black t-molding to red. And I'll probably strip the CP and paint and add an overlay with plexi.

I would probably hit it first with a black primer. Make sure you clean the surface well too before you start, no dust, oil, etc.

I had good luck with spray paint for plastics. Used it for painting over frames and random little things that you would think needed to be sanded first but they came out looking great.
