I've been dabbling in this hobby for several years now but still haven't jumped in with both feet. The main reason for my hesitation is because I'm still undecided on what direction I want to go. Originally I wanted a MAME cabinet but now I'm much more interested in original arcade games. The problem is I have very little space and a limited budget. My latest idea is to purchase a blank cabinet like the "Nintendo Upright Cabinet Kit" from Mike's Arcade ( http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/store.pl?sku=CABTKGUR) and then purchase original pcbs of my favorite games and swap them out as desired. This would give me the opportunity to have a "virtual game room" with just one cabinet. The only problem is I have no idea if what I want to do is even visible. I've read a little bit about wiring harnesses and jamma boards but don't know if there's anyway to make this kind of configuration work. If anyone has any input I would really appreciate it.
Thanks,
Andrew

Thanks a lot for the link. I'll have to check it out to see if it will do what I want it to. My main concern is with a game like DK, I know it did something unconvertional with the monitor so I'm not sure if that would work with this kind of setup... I may need original hardware.
