Title: Ultimate Joystick "sticking"
Post by: Trebeck on January 06, 2009, 07:03:07 pm
Hey all,

I grabbed six Ultimates from Happ and four work great.  The other two sticks "stick" for a second when going from down to center.  It feels like a plastic part is resisting the movement so I get a ticking noise and resistance when it goes back to center.  As far as I can tell it's the 8 way actuator.  It was in place when I got them from Happ and I haven't changed anything yet.
Anyone else come across this?

I actually had that tickin' noise you speak of that would speratically come and go on my U360's until i realized that the dust washers were i think interfering with the plexi overlay. Also check do you have access to underneath the panel when its down / crawl under and move it around you might see where its happening.

Thanks for the reply mrclean,
A great suggestion but not it.  I took off the washers and listened carefully.  Then I spun the actuator and now the right direction sticks. Spun it again and now up sticks.  So it's definitely the actuator.  The thing is when I look at it there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it.
Anyone else have this problem?
