Title: MAME Games That Only Use Left/Right and a Fire Button?

Hi all. I am building a MAME cabinet out of a gutted Space Invaders (don't worry.. I am not mofidying anything at all..  cabinet will remain all original inside and out. Just putting a PC monitor where the original monitor should have been, and then using an iPac to connect the original control panel.  Even keeping the original mirror in place and having the monitor flip the image.  The cabinet will have no external modifications at all, and can be converted back to original in no time at all someday).

Anyway, since I am using the original control panel, which just has Left, Right, and Fire buttons, I would like to include as many vertical games as possible that can use this setup.  Games off the top of my head are:

Space Invaders (and all variants/clones)
Galaga
Galaxian
Penguin Koon Wars
Carnival
Phoenix (however this game will need a second button for shield.. may configure Player 2 start button)
Satans Hollow (same as Phoenix.. need to configure second button)

Can anyone think of any others good ones?

I've always had a soft spot for Lunar Rescue, and I believe it was based on the same hardware as Space Invaders.

you can do a deluxe search on MAWS,

Thanks for the tips.  I will do that search when I get home tonight  (Mameworld.net is blocked at my company for some reason...)

Anybody knows if a Mag Stcik plus in 4 way mode do the trick or do I have buy a 2 way joystick..I gonna try Galaxian soon just to see how it works

I have no problems with a 4 way stick on 2 way games.
Galaga is my #1  game.

Astro Blaster and Joust 2, if you add the previously mentioned second button.
Also Space Invaders '95 and Cosmo Gang.

It worked fine here too
