Title: mame 32 minimizes while playing games. Please help.

Hi Can anyone tell me why mame 32 minimizes for no apparent reason when I'm playing games.    ???   Thanks

mine does it every like 100 times i play too, somwhow your buttons are not setup correctly

Most likely, your computer has a hotkey that is a key combo you can press with with your keyboard or keyboard encoder.  Either disable the hotkey (how varies on which app/driver has that hotkey), or remap both your keyboard encode and mame to not use the ctrl and alt keys (and maybe shift, too).

'm assuming it's not something like you're using a keyboard and you're accidentally pressing the windows key, and assuming you aren't using a gamepad or joypad encoder.

(BTW, that app is now called mameUI, unless you have an old version with the old name.)

The way I fixed that was to set all my buttons to numbers and letters (along with the shifted Esc, of course), then remapped everything in my emulators. Wasn't that much work and I haven't had a problem since.

Could be related to the Windows "Start" key.
Also, Windows by default has a feature where a combo of key presses does some things (like Shift-control + something else to switch to other language modes). I forget where those options are, but it's on by default.  Check if you have a little icon on your taskbar with "EN" next to it. It's in there.

Yeah, default Mame keycode set is LMAE....I mean LAME.
