I keep having problems with my MP3 files changing! I will download a song and listen to it, and it will be fine. I won't have a problem out of it for at least a week. Then, all of a sudden, the song messes up. It will start playing a completely different song about halfway through! It does this no matter what MP3 player I use. I have tried Winamp, Windows Media Player, and my RCA MP3 Discman. The first words I hear are "everyone I know has gone away". I ran a search for these words and found out that they are lyrics from a Garbage song. The problem is, I don't have a single Garbage song on my computer! I don't understand this at all! I hear the same song every single time one of my MP3s messes up. I have tried re-installing Windows XP, but to no avail. It has gotten to the point that I change my MP3s to read-only every time I download or rip an MP3. If anyone knows anything about this, I would appreciate your help!

Whats the problem? Shirley Manson is hot. The band is good too.
Sounds like a virus. Albeit a weird one.
If this keeps up though, you can delete all of your mp3s since they will be all the same song that you didn't want anyway.
How long has it been since you set all your mp3s to read only?

try norton antivirus. i bet that is some bug you got when you downloaded one of your songs.
